Everseal Multiple Element Seal

The TLS Everseal’s faceless, springless design is an inexpensive alternative to “face seals” and a dramatic upgrade over braided packing or standard oil seals.

With the expanding development of more high performance plastics and a greater selection of the blending of more unique filler combination with PTFE resins, Fluidol‚ Product Engineering and Design Services can expand the application arena for rotary shaft lip seals.

Fluidol‚ TLS Everseals can now be used as replacements for mechanical seals in many applications. Fluidol’s Style 42, 44, 45 & 46 Mechanical Cartridge and Component Designs already utilize our TLS Everseal as the primary and only sealing units. The TLS Everseal sealing units ride on our exclusive bi-material Silicon Carbide sleeves. Fluidol‚ Silicon Carbide sleeves extend seal life by providing lubrication and increased heat dissipation. Fluidol‚ also offers heat treated 17-4 SS sleeves coated with Thin Dense Chrome.

The functional data provided below is for reference only as operational limits for a particular seal design are influenced by many variable components of the application. Ultimately, a major increase in one component will necessitate a reduction in other components.

PTFE does not melt as it converts back into a gas. PTFE in the processing stage is sintered at temperatures close to 730F. PTFE emanates a reduction in its flexural modulus and tensile properties as temperature increase.

SURFACE SPEED: (12,000 fpm)
The amount and type of media in the sealing area as well as temperatures and overall equipment design control the limits on shaft speeds. Shaft speeds of 12,000 fpm can be accomplished if lubricating fluid is present, shaft hardness, shaft finish and dynamic runout is limited. Fluidol‚ highly recommends that our Silicon Carbides Sleeve technology be considered when ever possible.
